Here's a quick list of things to do and places to visit is Kauai...

Sprouting Horn: This naturally formed lava tube, located at Po'ipi Beach on the the southern shore of the island, shoots sea water straight out and up into the air. A definite site to see...it's Hawaii's version of Old Faithful.

National Tropical Botanical Gardens: Encompasses Lawa'i Gardens, Allerton Gardens and 2,500+ type of plants including those native to Hawaii. Located adjacent to Spouting Horn.

Kilauea Lighthouse: This early 20th century lighthouse is own of Kauai's most precious landmarks. Since she retired from guiding and directing water wayfarers, the Kilauea Lighthouse has become a much visited destination.

Kilohana Plantation: Before the ascension of tourism, much of Kauai's economy (and most of Hawaii's for that matter), was based and built around the sugar cane industry. The Kilohana Plantation is a post-Depression era sugar plantation which has since been turned into a visitor attraction.

Koke'e State Park: Located on the western shore of Kauai, this park is a great place to hike, camp and picnic. There's also the Kokee Natural History Museum, which is has helpful information about the area.
